The Children’s Department is located in the original historic section of the library. It has a great selection of new and classic children’s books including the most requested series. We also have graphic novels, books on CD, board books and children’s magazines.
2021 Literacy Calendar
The Literacy Calendar is to help parents of preschoolers get their child ready for school. It is based on the Every Child Ready to Read® practices of reading, writing, singing, talking, playing and counting. On the calendar there are fun skills-building activities for each day and also for every month there are nursery rhymes, early literacy tips, song lyrics, or suggested reading material.
