The yearly drive started in 1987 as a response to then Secretary of Education William Bennett, who stated, “Let’s have a campaign … Every child should obtain a library card and use it.”

During Library Card sign-up month, get a welcome bag when you sign up for a library card for children and teens 0-17, and a Lepper Library deck of cards for all ages!
